Kamilla Meesters (Millie)
Born in 1974 in Poland. Since my 13 years I was creative with everything that came my way and mainly textiles. Making clothing in a unique way was the best activity in my youth.
Due to financial constraints I could not follow the clothing design school and so I went to a engineering training. Technology, drawing and design feeding my creativity. After my education I moved to the Netherlands. In 2007 I came in contact with dolls and it soon began itching to try it out. Never knew that making dolls could be so fascinating. A whole different world was opened to me, a world of fantasy and wonderful sense of creating opportunities. Passion for the clothing design came in handy and I keep getting more sense now that all the puzzle pieces fall into right place.
I work with polymer clay, this is the medium that gives the best results to the faces of my dolls. Characters and phrases are for me the most important things in the appearance of my creations. They are not particularly sweet, but gripping and full of feelings...
